I wrote him a letter each day that he was gone for Boot Camp and Afghanistan (I don't have any from Iraq because we mainly skype'd and wrote through e-mails). There are so many letters and I didn't want any to get ruin or lost, so I made binders for each one that way we can keep them forever and easily look back at them. He wrote me letters too that I have in a separate binder. I cannot even tell you how many letters or e-mails I have written... there are definitely a lot.
It's so wonderful having my husband off for a long weekend due to Memorial Day! He doesn't go to work until tomorrow morning! I love it. We've mainly just been watching a T.V. series, Kyle XY, that we found on Netflix and hanging out around the house.
We are hooked on this!
Our dessert. We love our chocolate ice cream and jimmies.
Today we went to Knott's Berry Farm! We both have never been before, so we decided to give the theme park a try. It was pretty fun. There were quite a few roller coasters and water rides, although we didn't ride any of the water ones just because we didn't want to feel cold and miserable throughout the day, ha ha.
Here are a few of the photos that we took throughout the day. I kept forgetting to take my camera out and take photos, but it's okay.. we managed to get some.
On a roller coaster
Beer and pop corn at the Calico Saloon while watching a show.
Me with my expensive $9 beer.
On a ride
Dragon boat ride (I hate those boat rides)
Wanting to get off a ride
Matt was in control of taking pictures on this ride
Bumper cars!!
After I hit Matt....with my bumper car, of course.
At the end of the day in the parking lot.
Overall, we really enjoyed Knott's Berry Farm. We are going to try out their water park in San Diego next month when it gets a little bit warmer out here.
So, what did you do for the Memorial weekend holiday?
So cute what you did with the letters. Looks like y'all had fun at Knotts I can't wait to ride a roller coaster again, I feel like it has been so long.
