Relaxing In St. Lucia - Part V Honeymoon

For day 5 we took it easy and relaxed at the pools and beach, and also did some of the events and activities they have at the resort and took advantage of the free water sports.   Every activity you participate in, you get points for your room. If you get 200 points by the end of your stay, you get a special prize that you cannot buy on the island.  Now, I won't tell you if we got there or not because I'll let you keep reading about our vacation.

Below are some random pictures from that day

Winner!

 Dinner #5
 Drinking wine on the beach

Day 6, we went out to the local market to go shopping for souvenirs! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures inside the market because we only had a certain amount of time before our driver left to bring us somewhere else, but it was pretty cool.

Exploring The Waters - Part IV Honeymoon

If you have missed the others posts from our honeymoon vacation, you can scroll down to read about our exciting stay.

Day 4, we went out on a boat to go snorkeling further away from the resort. This was a lot of fun because we saw more things under the water and were able to look at reefs. The only down part was that it was only a few hundred yards from the resort,  it was only for 1 hour, and we had to wear stupid life vests (although we did not inflate ours!)

Their food… delicious.  Jumbo Hot dog with jerk bbq = heaven.

Afterwards, we decided to give paddle-boarding a try because of how popular it seems to be in California. Turns out, I love it and it's not that hard as it seems to be.

Matt doing an awesome job wake-boarding!

Dance The Night Away - Part III Honeymoon Cont.

So like I mentioned in the previous post, we went out to a street party after our dinner with a few people we met at the resort. Here are some of the pictures from that.

Blowing a conch shell… we thought about buying one but then we would have had to carry it the entire night.

Okay, so at this street party, basically everyone had something like this set up around outside just bottles and bottles of liquor and beer. Pretty neat. What Matt is holding is called Spiced Rum. Something they are really known for whenever you go to St. Lucia. It's so strong - 160% strong and 80% alcohol… yeah!

Their food was so delicious! Actually, all the food on that island was incredible.

Our grasshopper and cricket some 13 year old boy made for us in a matter of 30 seconds or less.
