Beer and Pianos

What do beer and pianos have in common?  Basically, nothing but in this case they do when it comes to our baby bucket list we created over a year ago.  Go to a brewery (#68) and Chill in a Piano bar (#43) was on our list and I can now say we crossed those (cue in the pun!  --->) babies off!

About two weeks ago we went with a group of friends to a local brewery about 15 minutes from our house called Stone Brewery. They specialize in IPA (India Pale Ale) beers. IPA's are definitely much stronger of a beer than your traditional Bud Light, Coors, or Budweiser, and definitely has a different taste as well. It has taken me some time to find a flavor they make that I can tolerate, but after drinking their beers more than any other type, it isn't so bad after all.
Stone brewery is becoming a larger known beer (at least over here) with locations opening up in surrounding areas and in the future they soon hope to spread it throughout other states and the East Coast (in the next coming days it will be headed to Ohio and Colorado)

Waiting outside before the doors opened to do the first tour.

I really loved how they landscaped the place. Is it weird I look for things like this?! Lol  I can just picture this as a walkway in a big backyard.  Sigh

And it's opened!
The brewery also had a gift shop and a bistro to eat at.

I didn't really care for that beer… The Chamomile threw me off

You could see inside the brewery from the bistro

After the tour (which is only like $3 a person to do the tour, but included is 4, 8 oz samples of different beer to try and you can keep the glasses)

These two guys behind us definitely photo-bombed us…

Then, the next weekend Matt and I went out to dinner at The Derby Deli & Dueling Pianos.  The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. I unfortunately didn't bring my camera, but I did try to take some pictures with my phone (no flash - booo!)  And if you spot anyone in a costume, that is because it was Halloween themed that night and we had no idea Haha.

Pianos are right in the middle. There is an East side and West side.  Each side competes. You can request songs by placing a tip, of course the highest tippers go before your song. You can also pay to put up your favorite sports team flag. It got changed a couple times, but I can see how that would get pretty pricey, especially on football Sunday's! Ouch!

It was packed. You can sort of see outside too. It's pretty opened.

Matt and his super tall beer!

 The best nachos hands down!

Trying to take a picture right outside the restaurant. haha

I hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Last Night - Part VIII Honeymoon

On our 9th day, we did a lot of activities, hung out in the pool and beach for the entire day until it was time for our dinner reservation, then we called it a early night due to leaving in the morning.

 Coconut bowling

Water olympics

 Wendy, another new friend

Doing the "gallup" dance with Collis and Julius

 Junior and two beautiful ladies

He is known to make crazy faces so we had to get a photo while we were making our rounds saying bye

We did not get a picture with about 3 other people that we became friends with, but at least we got half of them.
 Come sail away
Comes sail, come sail away with me….

By the way.. we got to our 200 points.. we actually had 210!  For our prize, we got a hat that we had all of our staff friends sign and then a mini keychain that had St. Lucia on it with sand inside.

Well, I mentioned in a few posts that during our honeymoon we were able to cross a few things off our baby list so here it goes:  Completed number 11, 30, 63
