So anyways, back to my birthday. I am so thankful to celebrate me being alive. I seriously, thank God everyday for me being here on his Earth; living the life I live. I might not pray about it, or go to church every Sunday like I should and use to, but I know, I take at least 1 minute of my day aside and talk to God, ask him questions, pray to him, and tell him what I love and thankful for. The one thing I am most thankful for, is being alive. He gave up so much for us, and I am part of that "us." Without me being here or alive, I wouldn't have known the people I know or met the people I met. I wouldn't be this far in my life without Him.
It is kind of a bummer than my birthday fell on a Tuesday in the middle of a work week, Matt coming home the day before, Matt's eye appointment that day and first day of school starting!! but like my wonderful aunt would have said, "It is what it is!" Exactly true to that.
There really is no "true" point to this post because, I don't have many pictures from my birthday. But here are a few that I did take in the beginning of the day
woke up to read some blogs (and start this one!)
Morning of being 23 years old. Don't mind the glasses!
My wonderful Mom uploading photos of me on Facebook when I was little during my birthday.
Reading all the many, many, many posts to celebrate my birthday that makes me feel loved and remembered (even if Facebook reminds others!)
Doing some homework and reading for my college classes
Matt coming home from work to go to an eye doctors appointment. First time I've really taken a picture of him in uniform since when he came home from a deployment in September 2011.
Matt saluting to me.
Matt said he has something planned for this weekend! So, maybe you all will see a more exciting post to come! I hope everyone has been having a good week!!
I also want to give a shout out to my family and extended family to say how much I miss you guys. I really enjoyed seeing everyone and being around company. I truly felt all the love! In a couple years, Matt and I will be on the same coast as everyone. Have a good weekend everyone!
I thank God for you everyday and for the many blessings he gave to me, especially you. I hope your days are as sweet as you are. You deserve a good day everyday. Aunt Eve is laughing right now from you using her saying, it is what it is. So, don't ever sell yourself short and make everyday special, especially the day you were born.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your quiet time this week.
