Cross Off Extravaganza

Here's to crossing off more of those items on the baby bucket list! We're over halfway through!

#6 - Paid off Nissan Car = GREAT Feeling. How awesome it feels to ride FREE!  I do not miss paying $327.97 a month.

#24 - I ran a HALF and FULL marathon. I'm proud of both of my times for being my first races. I swore to myself after I ran the full marathon this past year, that it would be my first and last. Apparently, I lied to myself because I signed up for the full marathon again this year. Marathons are no joke. But they were fun knowing my dad and husband ran in them with me even if we didn't run it along side each other.

#36 - Matt surprised me with a bike for my birthday.

#66 - We were blessed to see the Ravens play a home game! It was a lot of fun, even if they didn't win that particular game.

#73 - We take an annual trip to NC with my husband's side of the family. This year will be our third year. It's kind of neat seeing all the kids getting older and playing with each other, or who is pregnant this time around, etc. We go for a week and as much as it's wonderful, there's nothing better than being back home in the comfort of your own home -- am I right?

Summer Vacation to NC 2014

Summer Vacation NC 2015

Also, we went to Maryland and visited with my mom's side of the family with my parents. It was a great time! We were gone for 10 days. We were able to do a lot of site-seeing. I'm thankful my parents took us to Maryland. The memories we made will never be forgotten and will be some of the most cherished.

Exploring The Waters - Part IV Honeymoon

If you have missed the others posts from our honeymoon vacation, you can scroll down to read about our exciting stay.

Day 4, we went out on a boat to go snorkeling further away from the resort. This was a lot of fun because we saw more things under the water and were able to look at reefs. The only down part was that it was only a few hundred yards from the resort,  it was only for 1 hour, and we had to wear stupid life vests (although we did not inflate ours!)

Their food… delicious.  Jumbo Hot dog with jerk bbq = heaven.

Afterwards, we decided to give paddle-boarding a try because of how popular it seems to be in California. Turns out, I love it and it's not that hard as it seems to be.

Under The Sea

I have yet to post about our snorkeling days since we go every Saturday. Below are some of the photos that we have taken. The clarity and color may vary in each photo since they all were taken on different days and that is due to the visibility in the ocean on the particular days. Some days it's great, others not so much.

Meet Yak

He is the newest member of our recreational sport equipment. Yak the kayak was purchased in August off of Craigslist for a good price that couldn't be turned away. Matt uses it every weekend with some friends so they can be out further in the ocean while spearfishing.

Husband Caught A Shark

Yea, that's right. My husband and his friends had a guys day and went out spearfishing. Him and his friends helped catch this leopard shark last weekend spear fishing. Don't worry, leopard sharks are harmless to humans due to their mouths being so small that they wouldn't be able to bite. Their teeth are still sharp, but it's to catch their predators such as clams, spoon worms, fish eggs, shrimp, crabs, and bony fish.  If you're on the East Coast, you probably haven't seen one of these swimming around and that is due to them remaining in a certain area since they don't like to swim long movements anywhere else. They also stay together as a pack rather than swim alone.

Anyways, here is a picture of Matt and his two friends, Kyle and Brandon.

You can see the little teeth if you look close enough.

The guys also caught 6 fish which he grilled up along with the shark.

Cutting open the some of the fish. This is a better view of the shark too.
Who knows, maybe I'll have even more pictures since we are going out tomorrow to spearfish and snorkel!
